I doubt it. Perry and W sure knew how to woo latino voters in Texas. Jeb also knows how to get them on his side as he was pretty popular with latinos in Florida.
It helps to be able to speak Spanish - the Bush family has some roots south of the border - and are well versed in the language.

I'm for giving Texas south Of the Nueces back to Mexico and central, north and west Texas back to the Comanches, just as if the Federal government had left Texas alone. Hell, without American involvement Mexico might have eventually reconquered Texas anyway. Maybe they will yet.

I don't think the Billy Bobs are as tough as they talk. And people that are poor, desperate and inured to hardship can be quite formidable.
