He has the dirt on Obama, over Libya. He had to resign for it to be legal to come forward.

Joe Biden... President of the USA!

Well, count me as disappointed. I liked Petraeus at CIA.

I will say one thing: in his statement he flat-out admitted to an extramarital affair. In fact, he used that precise phrase, not one of the usual euphemisms.

This certainly makes the post-election cabinet shuffle a bit more interesting.

Are you saying that the administration and not Petraeus wrote his letter of resignation? Why would Petraeus go along with that?

Here in the real world, David Petraeus has admitted to the aforementioned extramarital affair, using that exact phrase in his resignation letter.

Better than eating a bullet in the park.

I believe he was having or had an affair. It was a great excuse though. Seen it many times during my time as a corporate investigator. High ranking officers subject of an investigation resigning because of legitimate personal reasons.

I also believe based on the General's 40 year career he was a great choice for the head spook.

I have a feeling Benghazi is gonna force a few more resignations.

You may be right but no one leaves leaves the CIA over an affair. There has to be more behind his resignation, we shall see what develops.
