As much as I hate seeing people laid off, health insurance in America needed a change. While Obamacare may not be the answer at least it is a start. We contribute to people who need flood insurance because we don't want to see them lose their homes and belongings.. I rather lose a house and everything in it then the life of my child , husband, sister, neighbor, hairdresser, dog walker, part time worker, construction worker, day care worker, small business workers with employers who can no longer afford insurance coverage for their employees or the life of all those let go from Orlando Health. At least now they will be able to be unemployed and have health insurance ... all will now be able to have health insurance either through medicaid or being able to sign up for an exchange..... that is subsidized.

Obamacare IS the answer. Congress is not entertaining any changes.

Fortunately, it wasn't a graded test, because if Obamacare is the answer the students failed miserably....

I don't get it. So many think Obamacare is this temporary bandaid or "a start".
That did not come from Congress. They will not revisit this just like the bad AMT tax they passed and sometimes patch and just like the bad NCLB they passed which everyone is getting waivered from.

Laws are changed.

Obamacare is gutting medicare, which will force many providers to drop medicare. Do you think that seniors, unable to find docs, will just sit back and be quiet?

Employers are laying people off and avoiding expansion due to Obamacare. When the nation is on its knees due to this flawed plan, do you really think that people will just tolerate the misery it creates?

Who is going to see the new Obamacare patients anyway? They are medicaid, and many providers currently do not even accept medicaid, or markedly limit the number of medicaid patients they see. Say "hello" to jammed emergency rooms and county hospitals.

Well seniors were more concerned that Romney was taking away their medicare.
AARP backed Obamacare.
The seniors did sit back and let it happen; maybe they weren't informed enough.
Talking to my MIL, she sure as heck had no idea Obamacare made changes to medicare.

I think we have a mass of uninformed people who really have no idea of all the changes in Obamacare.
They think the bill was just to provide insurance to those that couldn't get it..just like all the publicity and towns halls promoted.

Few know the details though.

You could tell many felt this way by the reactions of Papa John's and others.

These are all growing pains. When Social Security was first implemented. You think the first 5 years was a breeze? In the long run Obamacare or Universal Healthcare makes sense. We will all end up paying regardless.

Businesses will adapt or die. That is the way it has always been and always will be.

I think you will see business no longer offering healthcare; especially the smaller businesses.
The incentive isn't there anymore once the government pool opens up.
And it removes a level of accounting, complexity from running a small business.
