My guess is he'll retire to La Jolla and sink back into obscurity. Reviled by Republicans and the subject of the odd joke among Democrats.
BTW notice how the right wing nuts who claim rich people are "fleeing" California are always wrong? A net positive number of wealthy people, like Romney, keep moving into the state because of the extremely good quality of life and most of the people leaving the state are lower class to lower-middle class people who simply have been priced out of the market because they've been outbid by people with more money.
He was a sham candidate, tolerated by many because the GOP field was so lousy. He never really had a chance and his speeches sounded like desperation cries as he struggled to sound sincere. I was always laughing AT Romney and his attempts to appear "presidential."
The image of a "beaten and washed up" Romney pumping gas should be put alongside the one with McCain making a speech in the desert speaking to more tumbleweed than people. Or alongside the one with George Bush shoveling horse manure on his farm in Texas, a job he was better suited for.
Aside from a controversial conference call with donors, Mitt Romney has kept a low profile since losing the 2012 presidential election to Barack Obama.
The former Republican nominee was spotted with his wife, Ann, at a screening of the new "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn — Part 2," in Del Mar, Calif., on Saturday. According to TMZ, the pair later "hit up a pizza place across the street."
He looks like a man who knows there's nothing else. Perhaps the time spent away from Bain Capital was just the respite he needed. I think he liked the spot light that he thought he would spend the next eight years basking in. But alas he must now spend his remaining years around a few boring old guys smoking cigars leaning back in leather chairs in a dark walnut paneled board room dimly lit with amber lighting counting money.
But I do like the denim and oxford shirt look he was seen sporting on the campaign trail!
I think it depends on who does the initial posting. Why would anyone bother posting about someone, anyone pumping their own gas. how else would we get our gas? As for where he is and lives, for heaven's sake, he has a home in the area, why wouldn't he be living there. So the state is liberal, so they voted Obama, do posters here thing there are no Republicans living in Ca?
