Aside from a controversial conference call with donors, Mitt Romney has kept a low profile since losing the 2012 presidential election to Barack Obama.
The former Republican nominee was spotted with his wife, Ann, at a screening of the new "Twilight" movie, "Breaking Dawn — Part 2," in Del Mar, Calif., on Saturday. According to TMZ, the pair later "hit up a pizza place across the street."
I'm guessing that this article was written by an out-of-touch MSM baby boomer who lives in NYC and relies on cabs, subways, and limos.
Once upon a time, there was 'full service' and 'self service,' and respectable people did not pump their own gas. Now self service is the norm and full service (outside of Oregon) is the exception. Nowadays, if you buy gas you're probably going to pump it yourself, or rather the machine is going to do it for you. 20 years ago, I had a job working at a gas station in a tony neighborhood. I saw pro athletes, politicians, and billionaires all pump their own gas. We didn't have full service. That's how it's done now.

Ol' Willard is jumping right from the frying pan into the fire, eh? You'd think he'd hate California, given that they are so full of regulations and taxes, and given certain recent setbacks due partly to California liberals.

When you have a couple hundred million all that doesn't matter. It's not the Mitt Romneys who suffer from Obamanomics; it's the working poor and middle class. By the same token, the point of Romney-nomics was not to help Romney. The working poor & middle class are getting reamed in Cali right now.

Interesting piece of trivia: Romney lost every state he owns a house in. Appears he doesn't like to live among his voters.
Hah, I thought the exact same thing when I saw this thread (well, I saw that two days ago on Reddit)...
