Estmates I have seen is less total spending increase ths year compared to last year.I think it was like 4% increase expected compared to 6% last year.

Everyone is quick to pass judgement based on 4 days worth of shopping, I want to see the big picture myself.

I wasn't sure which post would come first. This one or the one that said that the bump in sales were due to people trying to support Walmart and other stores to spite the evil striking workers and boycotting libs trying to ruin American business.

Walmart had a limited supply. One controller, but can always get more of those later. Sky something game bundle.

This is just not possible. According to the liberal/socialists:

NO ONE has any money, except the 1% who are hoarding and are greedy. Of course, something I have been saying for a long time, the facts don't prove this. People have plenty of disposal income. They could have always made their house payments, put food on the table, etc. Alot of people just chose not too, in order to escape their debts, which they could have paid.

Retail sales off the charts. Apple? iPads and iPhones selling like hot cakes. Ford? Cars can't stay on the showroom floors. And on and on.

Yes, those 1%r's are sure out there buying all of this stuff...

Makes sense sales are up.....for the first time many companies opened for Thanksgiving, adding an extra day to the holiday weekend. Now you have to wait until the end of the season to see if this was just expedited spending or increased overall spending.

BTW I am sure China is very happy as most of the goods sold were made in China to further help their economy.

Someone has to ship it from the port to the store. Someone has to stock the shelves, someone has to make the gas to get it to ship from the port to the store. Someone had to supply the electricity for the store to be open. Someone had to work the store check out counter....

I can keep going.

4:18PM EST November 25. 2012 - The biggest holiday shopping weekend of the season still has one day left, but retailers can already consider it their best yet.

More shoppers came out Thanksgiving night, more shoppers hit stores on Black Friday, more shopped online and everyone spent more. The result: more than $59 billion in estimated sales from Thursday through Sunday, according to a BIGInsight survey conducted for the National Retail Federation.

That's up from $52.4 billion last year. And all signs point to a huge Cyber Monday, as more consumers turned to their computers or mobile devices to shop during the weekend.
59 Billion for Christmas crap.......and people whine and scream about leaving their children with national debt....why didn't they just stay home this weekend and put that money in the bank.

But the good news is the economy obviously is booming under Obama!!!!!

I'm concerned about my children dealing with a huge debt, I am also concerned about my children entering the work force with large amounts of unnecessary debt which is why my son is currently working on his bachelors degree on my dime instead of student loans.

Put away your broad brush and start looking at the details please.
