And you think that is the only thing Henry's will do. Your so naive. "IF" you work you better hope your boss is not a Henry. You are naive to think that there are not MANY things they can do. Yep they might take a big hit but it's the middle class who will take the biggest. You can thank Obama.

The HENRYs are crucial to America's economic health because so many of them own small businesses. Small businesses created 2/3rds of the 6.4 million new private-sector jobs the U.S. economy. But Obama has zeroed in on them as and calls them rich even though they aren't.

The undeniable fact is that the HENRYs will not escape America's backlash against the rich.

Dh and I will also be divorcing for tax purposes when he retires next year. Turns out I qualify to get back more than I paid in by claiming the house, single head of household (homestead tax credit....tax write off for the mortgage, taxes, etc, etc, etc...) and the kids AND dd#2 gets a social security check because her dad is retired that won't be taxable because it's her income AND AND AND my dd's will qualify for financial aid for college. I like this flipping the bird at the dems thing.... I never even would have looked into this if it weren't for the talk of letting the Bush tax cuts expire (One more AND is I get to stay in teaching instead of needing to find a better paying job because the less I make, the more I get from the government.) Turns out we're MUCH better off divorced than married now that dh has to go onto medicare (my insurance dropped him when he turned 65 so we no longer have the issue of my being unable to cover him because we're not married. This move saves us about $4k in taxes if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire.)

If the Bush tax cuts aren't allowed to expire, I may keep him....I'll have to think it that though...

How do you know what I think? I was responding to a poster who said he and his wife will do that.

I remember when my daughter was in first grade. She came from school one day all excited about her vocabulary lesson. When I came in through the door that evening she grabbed me by the pants leg and with a big grin exclaimed, "Surmise what, Dad? We learned a new word today. Can you surmise what it is?"

We're all very excited that you learned a new word and are trying desperately to turn it into some kind of meme. But you've smothered it with overkill. You managed to go from zero to banal in 60 seconds.

Oh I get it. Just like Liberals and Democrats calling everyone who disagree with them a RACIST. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. LOL

So far it looks like most owners are happy enough to pay some taxes.

Those who believe that rich are "above" $250K income groups, and are excluded under it, are into class warfare.

lol Ivorytickler. I saw the other thread about this. Sounds like you two got it worked out. It's something we might also consider. I will love every story where people flip Obama the bird. The poor and the middle class don't even realize that they will also be flipped in little ways.
