\What a bizarre statement.
The US can't afford to be ding the bs they're doing and the only winners are defense contractors.
Give it up.
Germany has a much higher quality of life than the US.

He is accountable. If the GOP thinks it can do better, then it should start with a winning platform.

All I see are blaming republicans for his doing. That is not being held accountable. You cheer on this nonsense. You must want to see more folks in poverty and starving too. That is what will happen. Congrats.

I find it intriguing, though hardly surprising, that many of the same posters who could not care one iota about what the rest of world thinks are all the sudden super concerned that the US might not be seen as a "superpower".
Feel better, all, for you can call the US a superpower all you want. Watch: The USA is the foremost superpower in the world. See how easy that was?

On the contrary, I would like to see this nation prosper. Unfortunately, I see this country stumbling like a drunk for some time to come. The GOP had a golden chance to come back but what they've allowed is for their party to be hijacked by social conservatism.

[and that's not what is going to save this country - literally or figuratively]

It will happen sometime. I think everything is becoming too global and intertwined for one nation to control. Over the past few decades our economic strength, while increasing in dollar terms, has been decreasing as a share of the world total. We aren't declining, they are catching up.

Keep in mind, even when China's GDP passes us, they will still have at least 3x the population. It is inevitable that 1+ billion people will produce more goods than us.
