No, but that doesn't really change the fact that he is.
Well, until it's proven, it remains hearsay, not a fact. If there were a factual basis to the claim, why has no one come forward? Regardless, I find his work to be gut-splitting funny.
The fact is that its a monologue. It has much less leeway than a skit or movie or play. Eddie Murphy saying gonna take me a shot gun and kill all the whities I see dressed in a prison getup is not the same as Bill Maher or anyone saying something in a monologue type of situation. Foxx used a joke that was not funny. It was in context and he said he had a great time killing all the white people in the film. I think if Limbaugh cam on the radio and said that he found a new Wii game where he could kill all the Ni##ers the press would have a field day and rightly so. Limbaugh comes on the radio and says hateful things then backs them off many times by saying it was a joke it was a joke. Lets look at Ted Nugent. He said statements about killing Obama. The SS had to investigate it. The right ran to his defence saying it was a joke, can't you take a joke. Well sir if Foxx is just joking then Nugent was just joking. I did not like nor think it was funny what Nugent said and I don't now say that Foxx was just joking. If you can't see the hypocrisy then you are by choice blind.

I don't care if you love his work, or if someone loves Cat Scratch Fever, the fact that someone says in this case Foxx and Nugent something over the top its wrong. Not calling it out or saying its fine is not different then Hannity saying I love Nugent's rock and he is just a joker. You have not ground to stand on then when Nugent holds up an AR 15 at a concert and says Hillary and Obama you punk suck on this. You diminish your own arguments.
I just watched Martin Bashier on MSNBC and his guests poo poo the Foxx comment as just a joke. We do not let the neocons get away with that line of crap and I will not let the Libs get away with it. If he would have said he killed all the white slave owners bla bla it could have maybe passed but it was all the white people in the film how great is that, and the brain dead audience applauded. This is no different to me than when tea baggers hold up racist signs like put the white back in the white house or any of the other crap they then pawned off as a joke. Its hypocritical on our side to not stand up and say, Foxx has a right to say what he did but I do not agree with it. Its wrong.
We defend political correctness against all the attacks it receives and then try to play this off as just a joke. Well if more people do not stand up and say its over the line, then we have no ground to stand on the next time someone on the Right says some insensitive 'joke' about the president or some black person.
We have to stand by our principals when its inconvenient or they are not principals.
Simple answer: Don't watch him.
You do have a choice.
I've never seen him because I choose not to.

What on earth are you talking about? That I enjoy Carlos Mencia is not an argument. It's a taste based opinion. I never said anything about Ted Nugent. I like his music. Is that an argument as well?

It was a comedian delivering the opening stand-up routine on a comedy show. Of course it was comedy. That's not playing it off, that's what it is.
I'm going to go at this from the other direction. There are plenty of white comedians who do racist comedy - Daniel Tosh and Sarah Silverman both come to mind immediately. Andrew "Dice" Clay did a lot of this. George Carlin had a funny (IMO) rape joke, and did Wanda Sykes. Louis CK had a joke where he said the N word on stage, in order to explain that the phrase "the N word" was a cowardly way to avoid saying the word. And no, this is not the same as waving a racist sign at a political rally, or putting something like "Obama Bucks" in your GOP newsletter. Those aren't the time for that sort of comedy - and frankly, most of them are bad "jokes". If they want to try making racist jokes, they can get their butts onto the comedy stage, and quit putting it where it doesn't belong. And in return, people need to stop flipping out at random jokes told by comedians.
You do know that this was said as a part of a comedy act right? Also that it is a line in the movie and it was a spoof on the movie?
Eh, I think people on both sides of the political table are too sensitive about political matters and race in general and I think most people period are too sensitive about racial comments. This one, since it was a line in the movie Jamie Foxx is promoting, I don't see as some sort of evidence that he actually will go out and kill white people.
And FWIW, I think it is pretty whiny to complain about it in general. It seems like here on these forums and on major media networks, including Fox news and liberal outlets, that people are continuously whining about "what would happen if _____ said that?" And commenting about someone getting upset about some sort of comment. Someone will always get upset over anything and get all sensitive about things that aren't really all that important. Lines from movies just do not make me upset. You need to stop being so sensitive.
