If you outlaw something, do you think criminals will suddenly obey the law?

What would the response be if he were a Muslim? Would you still be ok with him having access to an 223 caliber assault rifle? Would you be calling him a terrorist? Would you be defending his "right" to possess such a weapon?
I think they'd be screaming for different solutions but they would still want immediate response from government.

100 years ago, there were a lot of bombings in America attributed to 'anarchists', many, if not most of whom, were from the Italian immigrant community. Lanza surely would have been investigated as a terrorist before he was deemed a mere maniac.

Why can't you gun haters realize that is is YOU that has made it impossible to "take" everybody's guns to begin with so your barking is all for naught. You wanted open borders and illegals roaming freely in this country and you got it. How do you propose we stop the influx of illegal weapons entering the country if you loons do get your dream of banning guns? HOW?? Use the war on drugs as the plan of action? LOL. Between the neoconservatives, the Tea Party and all the unhinged, mouth breathing rightwing nutjobs in this country, I'm surprised these incidents are not more frequent.
But they are, indeed, more frequent.
And that is why this issue is long past the point of a debate of philosophical differences. It is now an urgent need for immediate action to deal with a clear, present, and undeniable public safety nightmare.
