Just reading this, you can tell the mother never spanked her children. We need to get back to the disipline that our grandparents and parents passed on a few generations ago. I grew up being spanked with a belt and I look back now and thank my parents because it taught me how to do the right things and treat people with respect.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that you could've beat that kid silly and it wouldn't have changed his behavior one wit for the better. Most likely you'd have created a killer very,very quickly though.
