While guns will not be gone, assault weapons may be banned again. And without weapons exponentially more powerful than what was available when your favorite (2nd) Amendment was written, most of the 20 would be alive.

Allowing weapons that were originally used by military forces is not required in order to preserve the rights of hunters to shoot animals.

If one reads the Second Amendment it is clear that the founding fathers wanted Americans to have the right to "bare Arms" in order to protect the nation in a well regulated militia as a means of defense against a foreign enemy.
I think the founding fathers would be horrified if they knew that the Second Amendment was perverted to the point as to where over 10,000 Americans are killing each other on a yearly basis instead of a foreign power try to overthrow the US!
Anybody with half a brain could clearly see what their intent was.
