I agree with your title. We are a sick society in many ways.

I'm paraphrasing.

I agree that we are seeing repercussions that the budget slashing, institution closing politicians in the 70s could never have imagined. I agree that we don't have provisions for young men known to be violent and antisocial - we just have to wait till they do something horrible before they can be locked up.

But do we really want to return to institutionalizing everyone who is a bit different?

And I can't imagine arming every teacher. Not because I don't think that any responsible adult who wants to carry shouldn't be able to; I believe that they should. But dozens of guns in each school, in classrooms full of kids who weren't raised around guns, have never been taught gun safety, and only know about spraying their enemies in their video games with hundreds of rounds? No, I think that would be more dangerous than the status quo.

I feel that we are shambling around blindly in the dark. On one hand, there is the evil that is a totalitarian government, with powerless subject. On the other, innocent lives ended too soon.

No people are just obsessed with the scum of America..... we're all pretty normal, but some people just use the scum to represent us for whatever reason.

The thread is intended to be a positive thread, and I know what your mind is.Please leave now.
Its not so positive when you disrespect a whole nation....

I agree with some of your post though "ban gun free zones" "train and arm the teachers"

Have you heard what they are doing in Texas?

This of course will be private sales and private buys by Admin and teachers if they want to keep their jobs.. IMO at the moment.

A grass roots action for a universal service if you will aimed at really putting some teeth in No Killing ZONE because only a fool would walk into a school that is better armed and trained than the local PD!

it is clear that the left's idea of Gun Free and Drug Free Violence Free Zone is just working out the opposite.

Epic FAIL

To me, it is a symptom of the "sick society" that some folks will use the horrendous deaths of these innocent babies and teachers as a platform from which they can spout their political hatred. Talk about sick!!!

Hardcore left, hardly. I'm nothing but open-minded in debate.

Unfortunately most schools hire private security now and they contract with the lowest bidder. You have people able to pass a drug test and basic criminal history making $8/hr that are security in many places.

Some just want the appearance of security but not the real thing.

A point will come when it will be impossible for me to reply to each one who has ideas.

I hope i get some help but with positive replies and all positive ideas.... I know many of my pals are hard core right gun men and i want you to take pause and think before you speak.

I want this thread to be what CD wants as well and not super warp hype... be POLITE if you plan to assist or help me please.
