It could have been a lot worse in San Antonio. He did manage to shoot 2 people though. But thanks to the off duty deputy carrying her single firearm as a civilian, she saved the day by nailing him with one shot in the corner of the movie theater. See folks. Imagine if one of the teachers at the Connecticut school was armed like this off duty police woman was. There is a strong distinct possibility that Lanza could have been taken out in the same manner. Now................let's see if the mainstream media will report this.

Actually, it was 4 bullets. And he only shot one person. And he didn't "attempt to open fire"...he did. He was chasing people he worked with apparently and she got him when he was walking out of a bathroom. I'm glad he was taken down but please don't compare it to the school shooting, it was an entirely different scenario and it's pure fantasy to pretend it would have turned out different there "if only someone had a a gun". What happens happens, that's the only facts we have.

Can you say, without equivication that had someone had a gun there would definetely not have been fewer casualties?

No more than you can say there would have.

can you guarantee that every person who carries a gun, are trained enough to use it and recognize who is the "bad" guy from the rest of the do-gooders? did they know that there was only 1 guy? or that there were others involved?
