Why do the democrats keep blacks from the senate?

BTW....he was appointed by a female governor of Indian decent!

EVERY Tea Party member supports this appointment, and I guarantee that the only vitriolic remarks will come from the left.

Maybe because none of the other black candidates, regardless of party affiliation, won their elections....

FWIW, the only black senators I remember are Carol Mosely Braun and Barack Obama both dems so I don't see why you are even bringing this up when there have been more black democrat senators in the modern era that are democrats than republicans. The last black senator before Carol Mosely Braun was Edward Brooke - a republican from MA, before the republicans started being enveloped in the southern strategy I might add, and there was over 30 years between his election and that of Mosely Braun. Also Obama's replacement after he was elected was a black democratic senator as well so don't understand what you think is so great about the gentleman from SC and I find it ironic that you started a thread intended as a political race bait and used both blacks and Indians to try to prove that Dems are somehow racist when you evidently see race as a factor more than Dems.

Someone didn't do their research before starting a race bait thread. Now is your chance. When was the last time there was more than one Black Senator in the Senate?

Hiram Rhoes Revels
February 1870 - March 1871 - Southern Democrat
Blanche Kelso Bruce
March 1875 - March 1881 – Republican
Edward William Brooke, III
January 1967 - January 1979– Republican
Carol Moseley Braun
January 1993 - January 1999- Democrat
Barack Obama
January 2005 - November 2008-Democrat
Roland Burris
December 2008- November 2012 - Democrat

The new Senator was appointed, not elected. Much to the chagrin of the Tea Party and other racists. Rand Paul, and some other extremists have said why they think this appointment is good ... they think a right-wing "conservative" black man in that seat will help their image. Not likely. I wish him well, though, as I wish all of our elected representative well.

If a party with much more racist roots "The Democrats" can change their spots why can't the Republicans. Jim Crow laws, the KKK and segregationist were pretty much all Dems a few years ago.

The Congressional Black Caucus......quite possibly America's most racist organization. And it's sanctioned by the people. Go figure!

You probably see racism when you see the word Black.

Liberals and democrats are racist. Democrats believe that black need special treatment because they are not able to do it on their own. If a black is a conservative they call them names and treat a black conservative badly. It's all about the liberal agenda.

Notice with the recent shooting it is all over the news but the only place you hear about black youth shootings is on conservative news. They ask why it does not get attention or anything done to help. You rarely if ever hear anything about it on left wing news because it does not support their agenda.
