So what's your point? That people can kill with something other than guns? That's a given. Guns make it a lot easier and more efficient. This should also be a given. The question is how to handle the problem of easy access to tools specifically made for killing without running afoul of the Constitution. Even the SCOTUS has not said that we should have unfettered access to whatever weaponry we may desire.

Do you have a serious suggestion? Or do you simply want to throw out specious comparisons like the one you just made?

This is one hell of an ignorant post.
Why would this be an ignorant post? Islamic fundamentalists have far more in common with the American political right than they do with the supposed-left in this country:

An often-rabid belief in irrational theological concepts.

Blind obedience to hierarchical authority.

A devotion to problem solving which emphasizes violent confrontation and weapons-utilization.

A paternalistic attitude towards women.

A Machiavellian, ends-justifies-the-means mentality.

Extremism is extremism.

Tens of millions of people are medicated. Heck Utah, of all places, has the most medicated population in the U.S. There are substantially more people who do not harm themselves or others as a result of taking their meds than the other way around. ( Having said this, know I am not a fan of mood altering medications)

I don't think suicide was this kid's primary motive. He could have done that at home. Instead he donned a bullet-prof vest and sought to murder children before taking his own life.
One of hundreds of articles establishing the link between antidepressants and violence/suicide

Psychiatric Drug Facts with Dr. Peter Breggin - Antidepressants Cause Suicide and Violence in Soldiers

"In addition to suicide, the [antidepressant] drugs cause a spectrum of adverse effects that are especially hazardous to soldiers who need the ability to control their emotions, especially their frustration and anger. Many of the most common antidepressant side effects involve over-stimulation. The FDA requires drug companies to list the following negative effects in their descriptions of their antidepressant medications: "anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, insomnia, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity...and mania."

You forgot one....we're also the Christian Taliban.

You should work harder at not forgetting the Liberal Connotation Of The Day™. I'm sure your liberal masters will be along shortly to chastise you for not being as obedient and as scripted as you're supposed to be.

You live in la la land of your own bizarre creation.
All of those tragedies combined probably represent less than 1% of the deaths by violence during your timeframe.

Street thugs and lifelong criminals in major cities have killed more people in less dramatic style, but incremental in total larger numbers. You just do what your told by the TV and get outraged when you they snap their fingers. We can't think for you, just point out that you are a sheep.

Well, these days, young people are barraged.
Given the violent menu in movies and video games; they have been made to think it is normal.
But then, with two wars lasting over 10 years why wouldn't they...

Peace, non violence, isn't exactly on America's agenda lately.

some points of interest for you. the guy that flew the plane into the IRS building left left leaning rants. not a conservative, likely a liberal.

"right wing Muslims" as you say are in fact very "left" in their political thinking. in fact they have more in common with commuinst ideology than they do with Free Market ideology.
