After all,he had both houses of congress for 2 years(and for some of that time 60 seats)yet failed to act on gun control. Why didn't he make it a priority during his first four years?

Instead of using "Democrat Logic" how 'bout you use "Your Logic" instead? You'll get the same result.....promise

You're absolutely right, OP. Barack Obama willingly and consciously put politics over principle while thousands of people were killed during his first term.

I was thinking this same thing earlier today when listening to sound bites from the press conf. And I like the way you carefully worded it--"Using Democrat Logic."

If the NRA has blood on its hands w/ regard to Newtown, then so do Pres. Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Sen. Reid.

First of all, Obama didn't have a super majority for 2 years. Upon entering office he had 58 solid Senate votes, The President rose to 59 votes with the defection of Joe Liberman, then Senator Robert Byrd was hospitalized. It wouldn't be until July that Obama would have 60 votes on paper with the swearing in of Al Frankin because Byrd was still in the hospital. Then in August Ted Kennedy died dropping the number back down to 59.

So in spite of the massive funding of the NRA, and 400 filibusters by the Republicans and a public that didn't support any gun legislation until 20 white children were mowed down, Obama was supposed to do what?

Wait so the same people who don't want stricter gun control are now blaming Obama for not implenting stricter gun control sooner?

What a horrible excuse you've perpetrated! Using your logic, nothing would ever get done in Washington if the modus operandi was to abide by the will of the naysayers!

Get real! Leadership is not an abstract. It actually involves LEADING. Which Barack Obama simply does not know how to do.

As long as you can use 'Obama' in a sentence, it is bad, apparently. The 'why' doesn't matter.

No. It's called principle. Perhaps you can study up on how to compartmentalize what it means to stand for something regardless of the politics? At least try!
