If the Republicans don't want to compromise than the Democrats should just let them take the blame for the automatic tax increase on all Americans. The Democrats are holding all of the cards and there is no reason for them to back down in the face of more Republican obstructionism. If the GOP wants to make this their Waterloo, I say we let them.

JB and the GOP want the cliff to occur. Hence, their 2nd offer was the laughable Plan B, instead of meeting somewhere between JB's $1 million minimum and the WH $400k offer.

By now, theerror the WH made is the $400k offer should have come with a time limit. I'd have given JB 12 hours to get it done, or else, "Hi ho, Hi Ho, It's to the cliff we go".

You are correcto. You got old dirty HARRY pegged pretty good. Why of course, don't you know it is all the republicians fault, Democrats are not guilty of a freaking thing, you didn't know.

However we didd not get to this mess overnite, and believe this, it is not a one way highway, sorry people but a two lane hwy, getting us into this trouble.

And democrats come with just as much guilt or more then the other side.
Remember Hope n' Change, those words, that sent us into a impacted economy that was for the worse! By a Democrat, and by his lying words.

I want to go off, then the idea of giving tax cuts to the wealthy is done and over. All the Dem's have to do is put tax cuts for the 95 percent and the neocons will not dare kill it. LOL The Republicans have painted them self in a corner with no glue to put on their shoes. They are SOL

Sol11 is correct; Obama obviously isn't interested in compromise, as evidenced by the manner in which the healthcare bill was passed at 3AM on Christmas Eve with no GOP support because they knew as do the intelligent ones among us that it will be a disaster for everybody.

He's brainwashed the masses that they can indeed have free healthcare, which is another lie; once costs start exploding, companies start dropping their insurance plans or laying off their employees, and people realize that the waiting time to be able to see a doctor will skyrocket, the Democrats will undoubtedly receive 100% of the blame.

Obama's 'war on specialists' won't help things either, and with tons of doctors opening 'concierge medicine' practices in lieu of dealing with HMO and government BS (all cash, no insurance accepted, etc.) from coast to coast, the unmitigated failure of ObamaCare will seal his legacy as our worst and most incompetent President ever.

Mr. Reid will undoubtedly join him in the hall of ineptitude real soon, if he hasn't already.

I sense harry is bitter.... he is doing very well with his recent new Walking Dead Zombie look though. I wonder how his Dead Zombie Pelosi GF like it? Both of them have had so many face lifts in fact the both speak from their ass.

I sort of like the over the cliff Idea. That will cut spending for sure, and stop entitlement too. Too bad...

I suppose I will need ear plugs and ear muffs too, to stop hearing that whine..

GOP couldn't even agree to raise taxes on millionaires. They only want to raise taxes on the poor and elderly. Unfortunately, Dems seem to agree with them.

These people are so defunct and morally bankrupt.

You do realize that the House GOP could not agree on anything to pass don't you? The tea party nuts obstructed everything!

There are rumors the tea party nut may be voted in as speaker Paul Ryan.

Why not let Congress work like it is suppose to, instead of being a dictator, and not bringing bills to the floor for a vote, like congress was intended to work.

It either passes or it is not. Then if by chance it does pass(some dems in the senate would have to be on board) it would be up to the President to pass or veto it.
