This is the funny part imo Mr. Armey said in news accounts that he questioned the ethical behavior of senior officials in the group, though others told of a power struggle. He was eased out with an $8 million consulting contract, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press.

I'd like to be eased out like that.

The TP's main focus has been to beat Obama in 2012, take back the Senate for the GOP, and get SCOTUS to rule ACA unconstitutional.

That makes them 0 for 3 on what mattered most to them.

I have noticied far less TP activity in my region as well. It is no different than the Perot people, who also incorrectly, thought they would increase, not decrease their power.

The Tea Party are losing strength. No one wants to back a loser, and as you point out Bob, of late the Tea Party are losers.

A triumph for the defeat of idiocy.

It is an overview article, as the itty bitty subgroups that comprise the TP merit no media coverage individually.
