Redistricting, not polls, is what actually matters.

Uh, polling does matter.

Plus redistricting can't stop the influx of Latino immigrants to these districts who are ticked off about the GOP's stance toward comprehensive immigration reform.

Demographically foolish? You mean they should pander to ethnocentric Hispanics with a lame promise of cooperating with an amnesty even though it isn't in the best interests of our country nor its citizens? I think the former is what is foolish not the latter.

Please explain why Latino citizens would be ticked off about illegals not getting rewarded for breaking our immigration laws rather than putting our own citizens first especially with 23 million Americans out of work. Are you admitting that they put their own ethic group above our immigration laws?

I am saying Hispanic immigrants aren't stupid.

Undocumented aliens bring with them a whole lot of political power once they are amnestied and the interests of the whole can be fulfilled.

The politicians that stand with La Raza during the fight are right there to suck up the campaign donations from the very same group.

Microsoft in particular has been one of the industry's strongest advocates of reform. The company spent some $8 million dollars lobbying in 2012, and filed a total of 33 reports mentioning immigration that year. Other members of the technology sector lobbying on this issue include the Consumer Electronics Association, Intel, Facebook, and Hewlett-Packard.

Beyond the tech giants, other organizations lobbying on immigration include NumbersUSA.com, Associated Builders & Contractors, and the National Roofing Contractors Association. NumbersUSA, an organization created explicitly to cut immigration to the U.S., has taken a hard stance against the proposed plans of the White House and the Senate Gang of Eight. In particular, the group faults path-to-citizenship proposals for the 11 million illegal immigrants currently living in the US. CRP data shows that NumbersUSA mentioned immigration in 12 different lobbying reports last year; the group's $600,000 spent on lobbying last year is a far cry from the millions spent by tech giants like Microsoft or Intel -- but then again, it's a single-issue group.

Hispanic "immigrants"? Who are undocumented aliens? You mean illegal aliens, don't you? What does not being stupid or being stupid have to do with what I said in my post? Interests of the whole? You mean the interests of Hispanics, don't you?

The Democrat agenda of pandering to Hispanics is about a whole lot more than campaign donations and the question still remains. Why do so many Hispanics think their ethnic group is above our immigration laws and rewarded for breaking them? Why would any politician/ party seek an amnesty that isn't in the best interests of most Americans? I find it hypocritical that the left accuses the right of being racist and yet the left is pandering to racists via an amnesty.

The undocumented migrants bring with them natural political (and financial) power to those who stand with them to help organize their fight.

The amnesty IS the power and the democrats are the only ones smart enough to take advantage of the situation.

This is why the Tea Party keeps losing.

The idea is to GROW your political base.

The fewer people you alienate the more campaign contributions you can acquire.
