Not only that, they're screwing themselves over when debt markets force us to cut social security benefits.

Money is created out of nothing. Most of the effect is impoverishing you now, by deleting your purchasing power. With a stable money supply, productivity should ensure your money gains value at 2-3% a year, not loses it at that rate (giving a total net devaluation of ~5-6% a year)

But your'e right to an extent, the saudis, chinese etc still have large holdings, and will repatriate it by buying american plant, and the next generation will suffer the consequences of that.

If the young of today think chinese corporate-communists are going to be as 'generous' as american capitalists and landlords, they are sadly mistaken. they will spend their entire lives in bondage.

As a generation Yer who went without health insurance from 18-24, I am actually very glad about what democrats have done for our generation. It was the baby boomers who created the debt obsessed culture of America. Blame that whole generation.

Because public unions, banks and corporations pay for their election campaigns, not taxpayers and individuals.

True conservatives are actually trying to change it now. Some have, gasp, proposed outright budget balancing, others have requested simple across the board 10% cuts, both are dismissed as "totally insane."
