What happened to all the handguns and other firearms that aren't rifles?

Are the rifles like the one used in Newtown not rifles? It sounds like you are wanting all rifles used to kill people with classified as assault weapons.

I didn't click on the Fox Nation link but I sure did on the one that tells only truth. I also found that just above the info was an indication that it may have come from Slate and I question things from that source more than even Fox.
I think that's enough said.. Maybe Bloomberg was right and we should register any knife over 8" or hammers over 14 ounces..
