Why hate?
It is simple.
No one likes to be a slave, full time or part time.

When taxation becomes compulsory labor for the benefit of another, it ceases to be for the "public good".
Redistribution of wealth is a euphemism for theft by government for the purpose of buying votes.

Workers are slaves to the government in one way or another. People who work pay too much in taxes making them slaves and people who the government keeps on welfare pay the government back by voting for the theives.

And though I left that job long ago, I continue to follow the lives of my extended family network, 1/2 of which are responsible, and 1/2 of which are not. The irresponsible ones have collected countless checks from the government and will always continue to do so; the responsible ones pay onerous taxes and (like me) have never gotten a government check in their lives.

The main problem I have with government's give-away programs is that in my experience they almost NEVER help someone is actually needy but basically responsible and hardworking. Instead, they give money only to those who are both needy AND irresponsible and/or lazy. And that is an insult to the working taxpayer.
This isn't going to stop but people who blatantly abuse the system tend to be self-destructive. They are like criminals and invite a lot of negativity, create dangerous drama and just don't live responsibly in any way. Many of them end up od-ing or taken out by violent boyfriends or drug dealers, committing suicide or violent crimes themselves and ending up in jail. Let them enjoy their baubles and spoils courtesty of the working person, the government will not stop it. They (the true abusers of the system) are miserable people and karma, or at least the ugly selfish and immoral negativity they bring to their lives, works to make their miserable stint short.

I saw this documentary with some homeless-by-choice guy who was still getting a check, he was dying of some type of drug/alcohol induced disease and all he could do was complain that his government check got smaller when he went into the hospital. He didn't care about dying, just that the government was ripping him off by decreasing his check. WTF.

My welfare queen relative brags about all her free stuff but she knows she is low class and can never get a nice man to care about her, because she is not a nice person. She admits this, laughs about being a taker, so she dates low class men who are also not nice people. She didn't start off this way but this is the road she chose, so be it. She is not a happy person despite all the freebies, and knows she is a loser but fails to change this. The enabling welfare system has pulled her down many rungs from when she was a working person. Before she hung out with average everyday people, now it's drug dealers and many varieties of criminals. She is not long for the world.

"Hate"? I have to laugh when the left constantly uses the word hate to demonize and exaggerate about what the right stands for.

They are simply unconstitutional and should be abolished immediately.

I've never had any issues with government programs. What I have a problem with is when some people abuse them, and abuse goes on. I only have an issue if some people decide to make a lifestyle out of living off of the government. And believe me, it isn't just the regular people who do this. Ever hear of corporate welfare? That can cost way more money than regular welfare. I would propose this. Don't get rid of the programs. Just reform how things are administrated. Bill Clinton made it to where a person can only life off of welfare for 5 years.

Yes corporate welfare is an issue. Individual welfare destroys lives from the inside. It's personal, and destroys human beings, and families directly. It isn't just welfare but all the programs there are to open to abuse, including SSI, food stamps, many more that exist in some of the biggest socialist states like CA and MA. They can live off these for many years. So many lives ruined because of these programs designed to help. It pushes weak people into the ghetto where they meet crime and nasty people and lifestyles. It turns them into greedy takers, just like those wealthy 1% white collar criminals.

Why?

Because that was never intended to be the governments role, neither things like education.
They start out meaning well but swell up and become wasteful, all at our expense.
They get taken advantage of.
