George P. Bush considers entering Texas campaign

Yakima Herald Republic | George P. Bush considers entering Texas campaign

AUSTIN, Texas — George Prescott Bush is gearing up to run for a little-known but powerful office in a state where his family already is a political dynasty and where his Hispanic roots could help extend a stranglehold on power Republicans have enjoyed for two decades.

The 36-year-old Fort Worth attorney says he is close to settling on campaigning for Texas land commissioner next year. He doesn’t expect to make up his mind until he knows what Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a fellow Republican, decides to do.

"Land Commissioner" is not a "little known" post. It's a prominent post because it regulates the state's oil & gas industry. Or in the case of Republican dominance: "let them do whatever the heck they want to do" regulation.

Maybe. In this case it is probably a stepping stone to get this guy into politics. His Latino blood will be the ace in the sleeve. His mother is Mexican and he is an Afghanistan war vetaran. He is Jeb Bush's son, and went to school in Florida. He made a speech at RNC in 1988 when he was 12 and again in 1992, and of course campaigned for his uncle "W".

These photos wouldn't be some attempt to link him to GWB every chance possible would it? No, of course not the left would never do something like that.

If he would do a year two as a community organizer he would be at least as qualified as Barack H. Obama was for Presdient, I would think.

If we judged Presidential candidates by who they are blood related to we'd all be in trouble, especially Democrats.
