Liar Liar Pants on Fire! Ohhh weeeee're not going to tax the middle class. MFA!

It seems like Obama's push for more fuel efficient vehicles means there is less money coming in for road maintenance via the gasoline tax so the snake of being taxed by how many miles you put on your vehicles is rearing its ugly head again. What they aren't telling you is that this is part of the Obama plan not hatched in Administration 1 (but since no relection to deal with hatched again in Admin 2) to get people to move back to the cities so they can grab more middle class wealth/taxes for their urban projects. And when they institute the tax, and trucking companies and businesses that use them have to pay more who do you think is going to pay more 1) at the store, 2) when something is shipped to you, 3) when you move, etc. in pass along costs?

"We modeled the average mileage fee rates that would be needed for passenger vehicles and commercial trucks to meet three illustrative Highway Trust Fund revenue targets ranging from about $34 billion to $78.4 billion per year. To meet these targets, a driver of a passenger vehicle with average fuel efficiency would pay from $108 to $248 per year in mileage fees compared to the $96 they currently pay annually in federal gasoline tax," said GAO."

New pay-per-mile scheme would boost taxes 250 percent | WashingtonExaminer.com
