You know, I really have tuned out the gun control stuff because I really dont care one way or another about this issue.

However, as far as I know the current laws about registration and background checks are legal, so they have apparently passed Constitutional muster. If that is the case 'shall not be infringed' hasn't meant that you can't regulate. So the right to bear arms is not an absoute right.

Simply because a law is passed doesnt mean it passes Constitutional muster. The Supreme Court rendered itself irrelevant a very long time ago. Think about it....if SCOTUS was all about the Constitution, their votes wouldnt fall along party lines.

BY the very definition of the word infringe, all gun control laws are unconstitutional.

When Obama feels like he needs to go around congress and sign EOs...that should tell everyone something.

You voted for the wrong man once again.

Do not some people forfeit their rights though? Is a known rapist, murderer, or psychopath equally deserving of a gun as a single mother?

They already cannot own under the current 20,000 firearm laws.

20,500 isn't going to change anything except effect the law abiding.

Same reason why right-wing reactionaries loathe the Constitution. Left liberals hate certain parts, almost exclusively just the 2nd amendment, while the RW reactionaries hate several parts. I say love 100% of the Constitution. Not the parts you like
