It's almost incomprehensible the toll of gun injury and violence in the U.S when you look at the numbers.

Each year in the U.S. there are about 32,000 deaths due to firearms a year, about 2,666 a month.

The most recent data indicates that in a one year period there were 19,392 suicides and 12,000 homicides by firearm. Guns were used in 350,000 violent crimes of rape, sexual assault, robbery, aggravated and simple assault---about 1000 incidents a day.

This costs the U.S. about $4.7 billion annually including costs for medical care, mental health, emergency transport, police, criminal justice and lost taxes.

When lost productivity, lost quality of life, and pain and suffering are added to medical costs, estimates of the annual cost of firearm violence range from $20 billion to $100 billion.

Liberal logic would have us believe that food stamp fraud every year is miniscule because the number of people in the population who benefit far outweighs the amount of fraud that exists, they say.

The number of legally-owned guns on the market far outweigh the number of guns used in crimes. So how is it that .0001% of the population killed by criminals with guns gets liberals' attention?

Is this a politically-motivated conversation or a real interest in gun crimes?

Ellemint, what is your stance on gun control? Complete ban and confiscation, or additional measures similar to what has been recommended by the Obama administration?

You think 1,000 gun homicides a month is just ---- OK?

Lowering healthcare costs? That is your point?
You really want to lower healthcare costs, ban cars, they hurt and kill many more than all guns combined...

Matter-o-fact, ban "blunt objects", those killed more people last year than rifles and shotguns combined.

Your fake outrage is getting truly funny...
