I don't think this is so far fetched at all. I'm not a "gun nut". I don't even own a gun, but I pay attention enough to know which way the wind is blowing. Anti-gun people admit that this new legislation is the "first step" in gun control, the end step being complete gun control, which makes sense. We have a militarized police force; the government is building a giant domestic spy center; Obama made protesting a felony; the military can hold US citizens indefinitely without a trial... the next logical step is to remove any form of potential resistance.
Ha. Go take a look at the "Can Obama win a third term" thread over in Elections. Despite being assured multiple DOZEN times that he can't and won't seek a third term and then become Dictator for Life, some people refuse to believe it.
Anything is possible. Look at what Putin did in Russia.

So far Obama has done such a masterful selling job that it has become impossible to buy many types of guns but maybe the manufacturers will catch back up before he gets any laws passed to stop them from production. He has done a helluva job of selling guns and ammo.

I heard that they wanted to do one out of platinum but it is too expensive to use so they decided that they would just carve it out of wood. After all what real value does a $100 bill have? I think it is determined by what the government says that bill is worth. Assign any value you want to and maybe you can deal with those trillion dollar deficits.

Putin isn't the ruler of a country with a 230-year democratic tradition and a venerable Constitution. He can make up the rules as he goes along. U.S. Presidents can't.

Billions of other people. How many billion people live on this Earth and how big a percentage of them do you think even know about the battle over guns that we have because of Sandy Hook? Maybe you need to try to use some less imaginative terms in your descriptions. I am not sure that many of the adults out of our 300+ million really go along with you.
