Suddenly after January 2008 concerned about spending are you? Yep, like most right-wingers.
Why should dems stop what repugs have been doing all along? Who controls congress? For one thing, congressional repugs have wanted to give the Pentagon more than it asked for. A highly-funded military has always been more republican than democrat.

Here's another tidbit. This info only goes up to 2005, but it exposes another big lie propagated historically by the repub Right.

Here's some info for you that you haven't heard on Fox or Godfather.
Besides the president's win:
* Dems picked up seats in both the house and senate.
* Dems won the popular vote by a million in congress. Only aggressive redistricting over the last four years saved the repubs' bacon there.
This is a clear rebuttal of the great Fox predictions of eternal repub rule, so smug in their confidence that dirty tricks and money would work for them.

The conservatives have big problems. The lie they are telling themselves is they just issues with Latino voters. In reality, conservatives have a problem with white voters outside of the south and the Appalachian.

They have abandoned even attempting to appeal to black people and Muslims. They don't really care about single women or homosexuals.

Their only saving grace to stave off complete political domination is a lack of voter turnout and having access to a ton of money.

Exactly why they(conservatives) did so well in that 2010 midterm, of which you were speaking of in a prior post. An educated voting populace, whom come out in numbers to vote, are definitely their worse nightmare....and their nightmare is materializing into reality.

Today's dollar is not the same as yesterday's. For comparison's sake, percentages are the only way.

If you really think that Dems and Reps don't have the same agenda, you have blinders on.. they do, it's just worded differently.
