I'm beginning to think that the real danger in the gun debate is not a tyrannical government, but from a population that is increasingly violent, ignorant, paranoid and bigoted, all while while waving the flag they regularly trample. I am not personally worried about the US military... but people like All American and Rebel who are easily mentally unbalanced at best.
They do not want to just ban gay marriage, they want us to be illegal, they want to have the right to discriminate against us, to ban us from adopting, from teaching, from being judges, from having the same exact equal rights and access to all the benefits they get. Some want to force us to marry straight people. Some also want us to be hospitalized and subjected to psychological treatment to make us straight. They believe their religion and bible trump biological reasoning and the law of the country. Worse is that some believe we should be eliminated. What they seem to forget is that we are their progeny, their sons, daughters, nieces and nephews, Aunts and Uncles. No matter what they do, we will still exist and keep existing. As long as they keep having children, there will be more of us. Being gay cannot be prevented or cured because it is not an illness, it is the way we are and always will be. Many of us knew we were gay when we were children, though we did not know it at the time or knew what gay meant, but we knew.
Pretty scary how these bigots are sounding more and more like Nazis.
Then make sure you don't indulge in homosexual acts.
I guarantee you that's what he secretly wants, and his vile hatred of gays is his way of attempting to convince himself he doesn't have those feelings.
This country was founded on traditional family principals.
It's not even a matter of religion, the traditional family is/was apart of any advanced high quality civilization thoughout history.
Slavery, bans on interracial marriage, legal rape of your wife, women being banned from owning property, 50% divorce rates, high adultery rates, etc. are all traditional family principals? Why is it then, that in countries where same-sex marriage is legal, gays have much much lower divorce rates than straights?
Straights have destroyed any notion of traditional family and have no right to expect others to bow down to such hypocrisy.
