Supporters at an Obama event rate him as the best president? I don't believe it, no way. If you go to a Justin Bieber concert, majority there will say he is the best singer of all time.
I know I am a leftie and wouldn't rate him as being that great but that is because my reasons are based in facts and not a right wingers imaginary reasons. I don't think he would've came out on gay rights without biden having made the mistake and spoken before him than from there he ran with it, especialyl considering many of obama's bundlers were gay and rich so of course he comes out for it. Also the fact that he has continued the patriot act and followed it up with NDAA as well as drone attacks in the middle east make me think he's more like a right winger than a left liberal. He has not done anything about the financial institutions that nearly destroyed this country, he has not enacted any newer or tougher legislation for the enviroment if anything many already know if the tar sands pipeline came on his desk now he'd jump on it.
He has continued the warrantless wire tapping, he's severely punished whistle blowers even more so than bush jr. He passed obamacare when a good majority in this country were in favor of single payer which btw he gave up on VERY quickly and instead gave us a moderate republicans heatlhcare plan which came from the heritage foundation a right wing think tank. The only reason we are "getting out" of iraq is because of bush jr.'s agreement with the president of iraq and the only reason we are getting out of Afghanistan is because of the unpopularity of it as well as Bradley Manning and wikileaks video that was leaked otherwise he'd continue it. He did get bin laden but somehow I think any competent president could have done the same thing. He still has done very little if any actual reform on the housing market, no top wall streeters were ever really investigated or tried for the near collapse of our economy AND nothing ever happened to bush/cheney and it had to be OTHER countries that tried them in absentia for war crimes.
Yet this country will claim the high ground and come in and kill a dictator or war criminal yet we have two war criminals that were ex-preisdent and ex-vice president roaming around free.
Most of the people said he is the best in their lifetime or one of the best. Secondly, when you go around on inauguration day and emotions are running high and you ask a handful of people a question that doesn't make it a scientifically valid poll. But hey enjoy your sour grapes anyways. You probably could make some good vinegar with them.
They are the product of our great "reformed" education system.

Obama hasn't done anything earth shattering IMHO to rate him in the top 10 IMHO.
He'll just go down in the history books as another President.
Good to know that you rate three liberal presidents as the best. And yes the thirteenth amendment to the constitution was as liberal as you can get.
Considering so many of his voters are the "youth" vote, they don't have much history to compare him with previous presidents.
One doesn't have to be young in order to be ignorant, uneducated, or unaware of what's going on in this country.
