We probably have contingency plans to attack about a dozen countries. Be kind of foolish if we didn't.

Yep. If the USAF doesn't have a dozen different Iran missions planned down to the amount of coffee consumed in the situation room, we should ask for our money back.

The department of defense would have contingency plans to adapt and respond to situations in every region on the globe, including specific plans to carry out preemptive strikes on military bases, air-defense batteries, communication apparatuses, government buildings, etc etc etc, in more countries than you would ever care to know.

We're foolish if there's not impeachment plans for the next POTUS that involves us in an unnecessary, wasteful, avoidable war of choice.

What would logic have to do with a government having such fine, 'logical' policies as the feet wet/feet dry policy for Cubans?

Most Americans feel that we are not an agressor nation but that image has been destroyed in Iraq and to a lesser degree in Afghanistan. No President will attack another country without that nation's direct action against us first. The people won't have it nor the added expense of another brushfire war.
