But do you think those evil rich people just hand out money without a sound business plan or do they not care about whether or not you can get enough demand for your goods or services?
let's also not forget that we all can't be a nation of shopkeepers. There's something that all of us overlooked. One day one of the shopkeepers decides to undercut his competition and pull ahead. He does everything he can to get more business to come to his shop, not the other person's. He succeeds, and puts his competitor out of business and puts his workers out of business as well. You now just started your first unemployed.
Without the Army Corp of Engineers around to dredge out rivers to make them deeper, private companies would not be able to use the Mississippi River as a major shipping route through a large portion of the United States. Now that the private companies can ship up the river, they are able to tap new markets. This in turn leads to the company increasing the number of employees.
So if you mean "the government does not DIRECTLY create jobs," then you have a possible, if still greatly erroneous argument to stand on.
Exactly! The businesses did not build the infrastructure that they rely on.
