It is the religious point of view that says animals are here for our use, and have no "souls" and therefore can be killed or abused at will. Secular humanism, the view that behavior should ethical and moral even in the absence of belief in the supernatural, recognizes that animals should be treated humanely.

Frankly, I believe that my cat and dogs are far more important and worthy of life than many people in this world.
And this is the best reason NOT to support PETA. They don't believe in people having pets and have stated it's better to put a dog to sleep instead of adopting it out. In fact, the last report I read said PETA euthanised 95% of the adoptable dogs and cats in their shelters. Pretty awful track record. Donate to No Kill shelters if you really love animals.

They should be treated ethically. But most of the time they are not. Farm animals are treated horribly. And they're killed horribly and treated cruelly in the slaughter houses.

PETA kills most of the cats and dogs brought to their slaughterhouse-so-called-shelter.

Actually the answer is Yes. Animals do have souls. See: Gen 1:20-21, but most people don't like that idea.

Gen 1:20-21 And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.” 21 And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind.

Gen 1:24 And God went on to say: “Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.”
Soul is you, your life force, breath.

The only person I know personally is donating to PETA is Rush Limbaugh.

If he weren't their funds would dry up.

Interested to see how you define "terrorist organization". They may not be the most reputable organization, but there are many far worse ones out there

I would say quite a few people would consider the NRA, which I am sure you consider a great institution, to be a terrorist organization

I would consider you or someone else driving an unsustainable huge sport utility on public roads to be much more of a threat than PETA
