Did anyone catch barry's comment last night about needing "More help from
wealthy seniors"?

I've been hearing rumblings that barry has his eye on 401Ks and this is what
he was talking about.

Here's more: http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com...-your-ira.html

If you have a 401K consider meeting with your adviser to determine
if cashing it out to keep it out of barry's hands makes sense.

Burn it if you have to! Don't let the no good *******s get their hands on your
money!

Perhaps not just 401ks which are over rated but stocks bonds and above all real estate. I can see an old couple penalized because they out right own a home that may sell for $600,000 currently but was purchased in the 1970s for a song.

Wrong thread. This isn't about Medicare reform.

Talking about wealthy seniors paying more so that the government doesn't have to pay as much for our growing elderly population, and Medicare reform is directly related to the cost of our aging population....yep, guess you are right. There is no connection there.

Why don't they get more money from the seniors that don't pay any taxes. I know many who don't even file federal taxes even though they make the minimum needed to file income tax return. They are far from poor. I don't believe the IRS even monitors anything and maybe they think its not worth it. But, the way I look at it if thousands are doing the same thing.................

What will *******s do when they run out of other peoples money?

At this rate we will find out in about 10 years.

There won't be much sympathy for their plight coming from this side.
Try eating your hope and change.

Fun fact about the IRS, for every dollar we spend on the IRS they make ten dollars in return from the money they fund people not paying. The problem is, no one wants to give the IRS the money they need to find people not paying their taxes.
