Considering public opinion of Congress, there probably isn't much decorum left to respect. I fully support Cruz's actions and am in the process of creating a letter to him stating such. I will pay the US postal service to deliver my message as an indicator of my intent.
And just to clarify, I voted for Cruz twice... primary and general.
I like a little rebellious spirit in a politician. Its nice to see someone go against his own party time to time....Ron Paul did it his entire career. I think Cruz's love affair with israel is disgusting but that's for another day.
Cruz is merely a reflection of people who support him.
I amused that you point that out. Cruz was not the candidate of the Texas Republican party but of of the Texas TEA party and libertarians... therein his reflection.

Cruz is new. He will learn how to be effective - or he will lose his seat. I think he doesn't want to be a status quo guy - and the GOP needs more like him. For now I am happy to have him as a senator representing my state.
