This state has been run by Democrats for the past 100yrs until very, very recently.
But dont let that stop your need to bash the opposing party.

Don't get your panties in a twist just because I pointed out that the South is the least cannabis-friendly region of the country.

(Now here comes the California-bashing in 5, 4, 3...)

Yes, it's legal in California - but the Feds won't back off - which makes it a state's rights issue. The Feds actually went after a micro-brewery up in Weed, CA because their beer bottle caps said "legal weed". Do they seriously not have anything else to do?????

And the legalization measure for recreational pot went down due to the well funded propaganda campaign by the liquor and beer folks who'd rather keep us drunk.

That's pretty dumb, because a few beers and a joint sometimes go hand in hand.

They are getting all the important stuff done like giving their cronies raises and banning pot and boobies before getting to all that job creating.

And since the GOP has been in control what have they done? Banned same sex marriage and now this. So much for the economy, these 2 things were much more important.

I am not going to lie. The Dems in the legislature before they got taken out were often dixiecrat conserva-Dem types. Interestingly the progressives tended to survive. With that said North Carolina did take steps to decriminalize pot which is why North Carolina has some of the most liberal pot laws in the south.
