Would one of you people whose been crying, "The sky is falling!" please send GOD the memo that we are supposed to be in a drought so HE can stop sending these waves of high snowfall totals. Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, etc, are getting slammed again. Although, I must admit that the thundersnow and lightning for the first time in my life during the last wave was kinda cool, but now I can say, "Been there... Done that." and it's no longer as intriguing.

Anyway, I hope we, here in the midwest have an abundance of rain this spring, then maybe the central planners, who want to steal more money and liberty in the name of it might be the worst drought ever, will go away.

Eh?

The precipitation in the west in early parts of the year is usually just a part of a pattern that has severe weather in the west during the later part of the year.

Just think if we had taken half the money America has spent on climate change research and put that into developing desalination systems....

we might actually not need to worry about when and where rain falls.

They are building one in southern californion with the help of the company that puts em up in Israel. Keep the government out of it. They get involved it will turn into a mess like everything else they touch. If there is a need for em the private sector will provide it and they are.

This is how I prepare for a major drought:

In Seattle, drought is the LAST THING you have to worry about...earthquakes? Well, that's another story.

India is putting up desalination plants all over the place too. Maybe if some company put the word "green" in front of their name folks would all jump for joy at desalination plants in the US. It only makes sense in places like souther cali. Heck they can build a pipeline and pump the water over to vegas.
