I was waiting for you to tell me how so. But no where in your entire post did you back up your position. If you believe in "marriage equality" than you MUST support consensual incest and polygamy marriage. There's no such thing as "equality for some". I'm simply holding you accountable to your own position. Defend what you believe.
I defend marriage for unrelated men and women, in whatever combination desired, but not for individuals who are blood relatives.
Incest is not a choice about whom you select for a life-time mate, it is sexual abuse. And legalizing sexual abuse is not about to happen, and has nothing to do with allowing gays to marry.
Fine; so have polygamists and incestual relationships. If you support equality for homosexuals than you MUST support equality for polygamists and consensual incest marriage. There's no such thing as "equality for some".

Don't bother. Gay marriage is going to happen in this country. Its just a matter of time. The train is out the gate, no matter how many silly fights people pick on message boards.
It's over. If the Supreme Court doesn't do it now, your kids will do it in 20 years - or less. Let it go.
Because the logic is that we should not be telling anyone who they should marry. Either that is a true statement or a false statement. If it's true then you must remove ALL restrictions on marriage including polygamy, polyandry and incest. If it's false, you have no justification for gay marriage because the bottom line legal purpose of marriage is to protect women and children born into the union and gays don't have to worry about children born into the union and do not have a gender inequality issue to deal with.
Tell me why gay marriage should be sanctioned but polygamy not sanctioned? Ditto on incest given that gay incestrous relationships do not have issues with genetics because they can be no children born to the unions.
Thread title says it all. If you support redefining marriage, do you support a mother marrying her daughter, if they both are consenting adults? Or a father and son? Why or why not? Thanks
