The Chinese hackers are not new. They've been attacking US IT infrastructure for years.
I'd be more concerned with all the electronics coming from China.
Hard drives with trojans embedded in them as well as keyloggers right out of the box.
Or maybe the new "magical" Chinese hard drives. Sold as 500GB USB but when opened what you have is a 128MB flash set in loop back mode !
And..remember those few "big banks" that had online banking problems ?
Customers are now reporting identity theft problems and non-authorized purchases.
Who created stuxnet ?
And now it's escaped and in our very own US systems.
Plus it taught the hackers how to take over industrial control systems to boot !

But the banks are silent on what really happened.
FWIW those people having identity theft currently is because their data is sitting on old servers and a uncertain (small) percentage are still active accounts. So most account numbers currently will not work, but a few of the older ones will. The banking industry is trying to fix the problem by now adding the 3-digit code on the back (and some are now adding a second code). We've basically hit the limit of 16 digit CC numbers. Thus in reality it wasn't the big banks that had the problem, it was the small banks they took over. It takes time to migrate data to newer secure servers. Now if you call into big banks the operators tell you to wait a few moments before responding to your question due to your information is now on different servers and they have to wait for their screen fields to fill in.
