Reading through the multitudes of threads on same-sex marriage and homosexuality (and every other thread on this site) I've noticed a lot of things, two of which are germane to this thread.

1) Some people think that same-sex marriage and/or homosexuality will lead to the downfall of humanity.
An example:
Quote:
if there's ever a preponderance of homosexual activity, the human race will cease to exist,

2) There's a hell of a lot of people (required disclaimer: these people appear on both 'sides'. That is both capital L Liberals and capital C Conservatives) who are so logically challenged that their posts read something along the lines of "1+1 = purple".
An example:
Quote:
if there's ever a preponderance of homosexual activity, the human race will cease to exist,

So, in your opinion, CD PnC poster who surely isn't one whose posts fall into the second category, which of these poses the greater threat to the future of humanity?

Default Bigger threat to the future of humanity?

Exploding population vs finite resources

Most current and developing conflicts can be traced back to this root cause.

Interesting concept. Instead of China's one-child policy, just encourage homosexual couples. It would also serve to fix the problem that resulted from selective abortions caused by the one-child problems: millions of Chinese men will never find wives. Fix them up with other men - no wives needed.

Hey, that's a great idea: encourage homosexuality.

Now some whacko will grab onto that as another reason to deny equal rights.

To those who fear homosexuals and homosexuality:
It is not catching.

I would prefer to like women sexually, I enjoy their company more than that of most men.
I don't and can't make myself like them.
My loss.
But it proves the point that you can't make someone sexually interested in same or different sexes.
It's naturally occurring.

I don't think homosexual marriage will destroy marriage anymore than straight people have. In fact the downfall in my opinion isn't them but rather that straight people are breeding outside of marriage and raising a generation of people who don't respect marriage and want freebies from the government like welfare.

I vote for "The inability to think logically" therefore "We're F'd either way"
