As long as they don't start fighting, it probably doesn't matter. It's not like NK really respected the treaty to begin with. They will continue to do their incursions and provocative acts (of which, the dis'ing of the Armistice is one), but they know they don't have the capacity for prolonged combat operations without help from China - and China is backing off from NK. Those Kim's be krazy.

^^Bingo.

It's not like the armistice stopped them from torpedoing a SK destroyer or invading with mini-subs.....or if you go back further sending dozens of commandos to kill the SK president and attacking the SK white house.



Really really nutty stuff.

Can you imagine during the coldwar having the US and USSR actually torpedo each other and not consider the ramifications?

well said. NK has to be careful in attacking the south and the US as they say they will do. unless they have very good reason, china wont back them up, and then korea will be reunited under the government in seoul.
