Keep saying that, people like you have been saying that for the last 10 years. Its a third rail you just can't help but touch no mater how many times you get burnt. It may very well cost you the house and a few seats in the senate next go round.

I for one am really enjoying the pathetic gun control fantatic hissy-fits that are popping up... especially in places that tend to think it's a great idea to limit and shackle every personal freedom possible.

Spineless*pols spit on*the graves of*Newtown*victims by not pushing for assault weapons ban - NY Daily News

Apparently pro-gun control equals loud, obnoxious juvenile whining. I think they want to ban guns because they know they aren't mature enough to handle a gun responsibly and assume the whole country is made up of dependent liberal New Yorkers like themselves who absolutely need "kings" to rule them in every aspect of their lives.

70% to 85%?
Wow - really?

That is amazing!
Did you pull those numbers out of a nasty black hole that follows you around everywhere you go?

Ok, tougher gun laws. However, tougher gun laws do not mean a ban of any weapons now does it?

You know, the anti gun crowd would gain alot more support if they were just honest. The fact is, you don't want "tougher gun laws." You want a gun ban, plain and simple. You want to ban ALL guns. Not just assault weapons.

You see, the worst school killing in history was done with explosives. The second? Handguns; not the dreaded assault rifle. So, when assault rifles are banned and the next school shooting with handguns occur, you will call for the banning of them. "What do you really need one for? They are just designed for killing." In fact, handguns are used in 56% of ALL firearms related deaths in the United States.

Assault weapons account for less then 1%. You don't care about the facts and/or truth. You use this as a stepping stone to what you all want: A complete gun ban. Period. End of Story.

Well regulated, when the Constitution was composed, meant to have the best available. In the case of the 2nd amendment that meant weapons, not just guns.
Our paid military or national reservist are not the militia, you are.

Remember when we had the Virgina 44th Cavalry ... The New York 224th Infantry... The Massachusetts 24th Regiment?

Those are the states militias and they were well armed and unorganized from the start.

Read California State Constitution, if you want more definition of the meaning of regulated as written in the Constitution.

Look how the Texas Revolution started. Santa Anna was disarming the Texans at the little town of Gonzales. The Battle cry! Come and Take it.... and Santa Anna did. He used it to take the Alamo.
It unleashed the lions of freedom, from all over. It was settled on the bank of the San Jacinto River, by a bunch of rag tag rednecks.

I scream, COME AND TAKE IT!!! I dare you.

The US is among the most dangerous countries in the world and we have more guns per resident than most countries. So the answer is more guns and no added limitations? I don't know. Sounds like a bunch of scared, selfish people that want their lame guns more than stopping children from bring slaughtered. Be proud.

The constitution is pure trash. Get over that garbage, antiquated document and try stepping into reality. You won't be able to change the minds of rednecks, the uneducated and the government fearing, mentally challenged lunatics, but anyone else should know better.

Thanks for the posts!

It's fun to think that a conversation here might change the laws.

it would be great to repeal all firearm laws, since they are not working and they are not sensible.
