Basically the medicare trusteee report tells the tale if you research it from last year. Plus one has to remember that medicare has 20% patient responsibilty that often is not paid plus remebusrement at 30% of what private insurance pays.

well, good for you, and if you have socialized medicine, why are you even in here, you don't live in the U.S.?
I have every right to expess an opinion, no matter where I live. Especially in light of the fact that your comments on socialized medicine come from a place of misinformation and anecdotes.

Apart from the question being a contemptibly weak sort of rebuttal, it's none of his business what sort of insurance I have.

Misinformed, I think not...on what do you base your statements on, experience with socialized medicine in another country??????

well, that is your opinion, yes, you do have every right, but so do we, regardless if you agree or not, and what ever socialized medical coverage you have, it is not going to be the same for us...

again, to each his own, we agree to disagree, period...doesn't make you right and me wrong or visa versa, it is in fact simply opinion...

Hey, just because you live in a country with a reasonable, cost-effective and fair system for providing its citizens with health care, what gives you the impression you're qualified to comment on the ignorance of people who patently know nothing about such a system but think they do?

Eh?

There are no forms involved, by the way.

That's awesome! I hope you kid never needs a kidney transplant in the US, cause they'll be cooling their heals behind all the politicians, their families and friends,...and well.... just about everybody they choose before you.
Of course you can pay out of pocket on the black market. Being as you already live wi socialized medicine, you know all about the black market services.

Lol! You're absolutely right. Just because I'm nurse, who lived and worked in both countries doesn't qualify me to say anything to those whose information comes from their plumber's neighbour's son-in law who once met someone from Canada.
Some nerve, eh?
