If they were forcing religious beliefs on women, they would be trying to ban it, not extend the waiting period to 3 days excluding weekends. I'm not even slightly religious and I can understand that it's about the unborn child and not a war on women. What's the big deal if you can have period to buy a gun, why not one for aborting a child.

A friend of mine said it best. Thank you, Shirina.
****

Puh-leese ....

I'm so tired of hearing about this so-called "war" on Christianity, especially from a religion that is predicated on persecution in the first place. This kind of crap is just a more mild form of martyring yourself for Allah in exchange for a few dozen virgins. Christians just adore the thought of being hung on a proverbial cross just like their savior, and so they see it everywhere.
Religion has run roughshod over entire civilizations for thousands of years and then pretends to be meek and vulnerable when it is challenged.
Meanwhile, asshat pharmacists are imposing their values on customers by not filling birth control perscriptions, asshat religious missionaries refuse to give birth control to Africans thus killing them by the thousands; God is on our money, in our Pledge, inscribed on courtroom walls, we swear on Bibles, Obama gets lambasted for not mentioning God enough in his speeches, non-Christians are never elected to high public office, religious loons are free to scapegoat people they don't like for natural disasters and terrorist attacks ...

I mean, ****, the list is endless. Religion almost ALWAYS gets its way in this country, and while all of this crap is going on, Christians still have the audacity to *****, whine, and moan about being persecuted ... BOO EFFING HOO!

They are trying to ban it. North Dakota just passed some draconian anti-abortion laws, and do you want to know how many abortion clinics there are in North Dakota?

Spoiler

Why's that? An extra 48 hours waiting is a "travesty"? How do you figure that? What harm does it do to wait until Monday for your abortion instead of having it on Friday?

Why should there be a waiting period? There's no state laws forcing people to wait for other surgeries or procedures.

What is religious about a fetal heartbeat?

People will draw a line in the sand somewhere, and say abortions will not be allowed as a convenience of choice after this many weeks.

Everyone has a line in the sand, for when it should be illegal to abort a baby, other then for extenuating circumstances, involving the life of the mother or the baby.

Where do you draw the line on abortion?
