In that case, I support your right to have as many lead or pewter round balls and bed sheets and as much charcoal, sulphur, and potassium nitrate on hand as you wish. And you should be able to own and carry as many flintlock arms as you wish. You can even have extra flints on hand if you want to.

The founding fathers secured your right to own single shot muskets and lead ball bullets.

Most serious gun owners, those especially collecting because of fear of government control and societal collapse, are already producing their own ammunition.

You are correct. It says, what ever it takes to get the job done well.
Projectile, blade, blunt, or explosion. It does not define the means, in which I choose to defend myself and my nation, from those that wish to attack liberty.

The right to arms is not a gift from the framers that they gave to us and that is limited to just what they were familiar with and aware of . . . The right to arms is a retained right, a timeless liberty interest completely held out from the grant of power that "We the People" conferred to the framers, empowering the government, allowing it to exist and function.

The foundation for your statement is perfectly backwards. the government doesn't get to lock the people into a time warp, freezing the activity that government will allow . . . It is government's ability to act that is frozen in time and manner and place by the simple structure of the Constitution. The rights of the people can expand; the powers of government are static unless We the People decide to grant it more power by amending the Constitution.

Much, much more painful than your sarcastic tone is the profound ignorance of fundamental constitutional principles you suffer from.

And it specifically talks about powder and shot.

Must have, is a different meaning than recommended.

I believe the 2nd Amendment guarantees the Natural Right of a Free Citizen to own the tools of self defense and the military of his time to defend themselves, their families and their country from criminal assault or political tyranny.

And that is what they had at the time. It was the weapon the military had. It was the assault weapon of the day. So that means the founding fathers believed that the citizens should be armed with the best weapons available.

This poll is a work of genius!! What a brilliant way of solving complicated questions of constitutional law! And all this time we've wasted money paying for nine supreme court justices, a big building in the style of a Roman temple, and God knows how many staffers, guards, secretaries, clerks, etc.
