The fact that a drill was going on at the same time reminds of the 7/7 Bombings in London, where the drill going on was for exactly the same event. This is the case with the Boston Marathon Bombing. A training drill was taking place as reported in CBS Local 15 in Mobile, Alabama (7,423 people recommending this story through Facebook already.) …. It sounds like, in kind of an ironic twist, that where the two explosions took place, because of the doctors on hand for the marathon and the close proximity of several hospitals, that those who were injured at least were able to get medical care pretty quickly.
Yes, and add to the fact that these hospitals are often rated with the best in the world..BWH, MGH, etc
There's a history of people trying to guess about blame in cases like this. The FBI tried to blame Richard Jewell in the Atlanta Olympic bombing. People immediately assumed Muslims after OKC. Idiots even blamed Sarah Palin for a shooting by a mentally ill man in AZ. All were proven to be way off.
I don't know why anyone would even attempt to speculate at this point, given that history. I just was listening to Chris Matthews and he tried every which way to connect this Boston bombing to the right. He noted that it was tax day, they targeted the JFK library (a Democrat icon, CM intoned). The problem with a guy like Matthews is that he is so bat-guano crazy that it won't register with him if he's proven wrong. He'll just go onto the next blatheration.

It wasn't just doctors. There were nurses, EMTs and paramedics there on stand-by. The bystanders pitched in, too. I heard early on (via police scanner) that CPR was being performed by bystanders at the scene on two victims.
Also, "State police officer Roupen Bastajian had just finished the race when he heard the blasts.
"I started running toward the blast and there were people all over the floor," he said.
"We started grabbing tourniquets and started tying legs. At least 25 to 30 people have at least one leg missing, or an ankle missing, or two legs missing."
I just heard Bill O'Reilly say that President Obama was wrong to call this a "tragedy" today, wtf is wrong with that moron of course it is a tragedy.
