Just like with Hasan. Can't do anything until something happens.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Similarly every person ever accused of stalking, deadly threats, etc. Unless/until a crime is committed, nothing to be done.
Wondering: are people really advocating a "Minority Report" style of law enforcement?
Sure seems that way.
As for the OP, it may seem like these events are happening more frequently, but they are not. They were much more common several decades ago, look up IRA.
both of these quoted for the truth. look back in our history and you will find many acts of terror through the years. this is nothing new in this country. and as i have always said, if someone wants to kill a bunch of people, they are going to be hard to stop especially if they are willing to die to attain their goals.
If we ban all the assault rifles, we would be able to stop all the killing.
These clowns were amateurs. Al Qaida has nothing to learn from these guys. They can pull off a large scale terror attack anytime they want to.
And again, terrorism isn't new to this country. Tossing a bomb in a church is the same thing.
There have been at least fifteen thwarted terror attacks here in NYC; thwarted, that is, by a vigilant Joint Terrorism Task Force. Al Qaeda is certainly not above looking for pointers from rank amateurs as long as they're successful amateurs. Trust me: After action analysis is ongoing as we discuss this.
I'm very saddened and upset to find out the FBI was informed of this recent dangerous terrorist 2 years ago from the Russian government and still let him and his brother get away with this. Very very sad that our intelligence agencies seem to be lacking common sense and followup. This latest terrorist attack never should have happened and it's things like this that are now making it clear why successful terrorist attacks seem to be increasing in the last few years.
Our government is more worried about offending muslims than protecting the country it seems. Hell they tried to blame a youtube video for the killing of our Ambassador in Benghazi. It's our fault not theirs for offending them is the prevalent attitude in DC.
These guys are a joke. The FBI had their number within hours.
Al Qaida is a worldwide terror organization. Nothing happened this week that would come close to surprising them. They can pull off a large scale terror attack here ANYTIME they want, and you can best believe that they'll be much harder to catch than these two Chechen fools were. Y
One shouldn't mistake their hardcore, skilled terrorists with the few clowns we've caught like Richard Reid.
Al Qaida managed to hijack 4 airplanes and pull off an impeccably planned and coordinated attack. They took years to plan it. So if you're silly enough to think that they went to school this week, then you're out of your mind.
there is always something to be learned from any terrorist attack, pro or amature, successful or not.
There are terrorist organizations besides Al Qaeda.
So what? Never said that there weren't.

You don't know what kind of time they have nor do you know that they're on the run. You only know what someone in our government tells you.
If they haven't attacked us, it's because they either aren't ready to do so or don't want to do so. When they really want to do it, they can, and they can do it quite easily. The real hardcore guys don't care about dying anyway.

I doubt it. We're doing the after action analysis...i doubt that they're even paying it much attention. They already know what they're capable of. This is a free and open society...if a punk kid can walk into a classroom and murder 20 children, you can't tell me that Al Qaida has much of anything to be worried about.

Sure...they learned that Chechens can be radicalized. *shrugs shoulders*
I don't know what is going on, but it seems like "successful" terrorist attacks are starting to become the norm here in America over the last few years.
Attacks, and a lot of other undesireable things are rapidly becoming the norm under "Obama the Destroyer".
Records in the area of umemployment Benefits, people not working, economic malaise etc., etc., etrc., are all becoming the new normal under Obama. America can't puke out that POS from our ship-of-state soon enough if you ask me.
Join with me in calling for the Destructive Duo (Obama and Biden) to resign. It's the honorable thing to do, but since honor is scarce as Hen's teesh with thier ilk, it isn't likely to happen, but we must do our part and express our displeasure at the performance of the "hired help".
there's just more people, and instant access to news. Just turn off the TV... stop worrying about it unless they start using them as an excuse to take away some personal freedom. It's like people who think we are going through climate change or have more extreme weather because we have severe storms or a cold front that brings freezing weather to FL... but all these weather events have always happened, and will continue to happen, because of the way weather systems interact in the US.
