Obama's continuing plan to cause as much pain to the American people as possible from the trivial "cuts" of the sequester were set back today. The Senate has voted to stop the furloughs and have the FAA find other cuts. Obama's plan is to show his followers that not one cent can be cut from this bloated budget without causing pain, misery and affect public safety. He likes to blame the sequester on the GOP even though it was his administration's idea. The sequester does not cut spending, just decreases the amount of increase in spending.
Once again Obama puts politics above the best interests of the American people.
PS Did Harry Reid really say that there will be no cure for cancer because of the sequester? One idiot is worse than the next.

I think that president Obama should reduce government services for the business, banking and investor classes. They want the spending cuts so let them suffer first. Shutting down aircraft control towers at the private sector jet ports is pure genius. VFR rules work OK with piston engine Cessna 180's but not so well with 10 passenger jets. Landing business jets at a crowded airport can be done but it takes a lot more time.

IMHO the sequester should have drastically cut military spending and resulted in our leaving Afghanistan and Iraq as well as quashed any planning efforts directed at invading Iran. That would save a lot more money and reduced the risk to our country.

I'm finding it hard to believe that one person missing from the control tower crew is causing so much problems and delays. I'm thinking it's a union contrived work slow down to make things worse on purpose.

The GOP passed the sequester and Obama signed it. The GOP, Democrats, and Obama own the sequester.

And yet you presume that Obama has American's best interests in mind? I don't think anyone on this forum would dispute that incessant slobbering has emanated from your posts. So why now would you begin to place ownership on Barack Obama for the failures of his Adminsitration? Buyers remorse? An enlightenment?

Saying things which aren't true doesn't change the fact they're still not true. What the U.S. Senate approved, and House will consider, is giving authorization to the Department of Transportation to transfer funds it's now restricted, by law, from transferring. You seem to have focused your upset in the wrong place. Start with the U.S. Congress. Specifically ... the GOP in the U.S. Congress.

When you craft a bill and sign it, you take ownership. Democrat, Republicans, and Obama are responsible for the sequester.

Typical Lefty response. Congress GAVE Obama the authority to make changes, he denied the opportunity so he could inflict the most possible pain and damage on the American people. That's just who Obama is. He is vindictive, angry and extremely unprofessional.
