Apparently, it's awful to be a single mother in America. They're are more likely to have lower levels of education, lower income, and if they're uneducated they're much less likely to get married than their more educated counterparts, which shuts them out of the added income a husband can provide for a family. To make matters worse, single mothers are much more likely to be solely in charge of children than single men. Why, oh why can't women get it right? Why are they so bad at making decisions? Why the **** aren't we talking more about men?
I heard a classmate complains constantly about the child support he has to pay, but if you lay the numbers out, it barely makes a dent in what it costs to raise kids. A grand a month for two kids just barely makes up the difference in rent between a three bedroom and one bedroom place, extra groceries, their medical bills, and clothes, if the baby-mom is super cheap

Because the man isn't the one having the child; I'm not attempting to start a debate here nor get anyone's fire lit but woman who want to have an abortion or even decide to put their child up for adoption have the option to. Woman know very well the intentions of the male they are sleeping with a great deal of the time, therefore if a woman decides to have a child with that man knowing that he doesn't plan on staying, it seems like a personal problem. The state can intervene and forcefully make the guy pay for their child, yet the guy has no say so on having the child so its not much a man can do.

^^This in a nutshell. Women choose who to have sex with, set the conditions for sex and decide whether or not to have a kid. 70% of divorces are filed by women and it is usually because of money so there isn't much a guy can do there.

That depends on where you live. I think rent for a 3 bedroom is only $200 more month near me. Kids aren't going to be using up $800/month on groceries and clothes until they are much older. Plus, the mom has income as well.
If we're talking about single women having babies, well, women wanted to be in control of their own bodies (meaning abortion.) I agree with this. But...
With controlled comes responsibility. There is no reason any woman has to have a kid. The most effective and least intrusive forms of birth control available are for use by women. So even if they want to have sex, they don't need to get pregnant. If they ********** up and do get pregnant, they can have an abortion. If she doesn't its her active decision, and she should be responsible.
If we're talking about women who were married when they had the kid(s) in question, the father is on the hook.
